Accessibility Project Coordinator

Knowbility is seeking an experienced project management professional to serve in a coordination role between clients and our team of accessibility experts. The ideal candidate will understand digital project management, as well as big picture accessibility needs, and serve as liaison between the Business Development Director, the Tech Team Lead and clients.

Responsibilities

This position reports to the Business Development Director, and coordinates with the Tech Team Lead and AccessWorks Team. The following are duties and responsibilities that the Accessibility Project Coordinator is expected to perform:

  • Participate in initial client meetings to understand client needs and clarify goals
  • Support the identification and allocation of resources, budgets, and timeframes for new and ongoing client projects
  • Coordinate client projects with internal tasks that support our community programs
  • Communicate project structure and expectations to Tech Team
  • Collaborate with Tech Team Lead to create comprehensive project implementation plans
  • Coordinate with Tech Team Lead to schedule projects and ensure available resources
  • Introduce clients to team and foster clear communication throughout projects
  • Anticipate potential project problems and develop solutions
  • Plan and manage project goals, milestones and timelines
  • Adapt project plans to new information and changing requirements
  • Supervise current projects and coordinate team members to keep workflow on track
  • Adhere to project budget by monitoring expenses and time allocations
  • Manage project-related paperwork and ensure materials are current, properly filed and stored
  • Establish and document processes for replicating projects in the future
  • Contribute to Knowbility’s mission of improving global web and digital accessibility through other duties, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrable experience is required in these areas:

  • Digital project management
  • Project risk mitigation
  • Command of the English language in written and verbal communications
  • Proactive and motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in digital design, development, UX or related fields
  • Web design and development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) skills and experience
  • Skills and working knowledge of web accessibility principles, techniques and guidelines

Compensation

Starting pay range is $46,000–$58,000 annually based on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time permanent professional position. Our excellent benefits package includes:

  • Health, dental and vision insurance fully paid by the company and beginning immediately upon hire
  • 401K contribution up to 4% of salary
  • 12 paid holidays and 10 paid vacation days annually
